Job Description

As our Accounting Assistant, you will use your organization and detail orientation skills to help our team process vendor invoices and payments timely. Your accurate and data entry skills will be put to use each day, as you keep track of vendors and funds in our systems and with Microsoft Excel. You’ll help with our mailing process and provide additional general administrative support to the team as needed.  

This position will be located at our Henderson, Colorado office and we offer a hybrid schedule with 2 days of work from home and 3 days in the office per week.

Essential Functions

  • Data entry of A/R invoices
  • Data entry of job set-ups
  • Verifying and remittance Gross Receipts, Sales and Use taxes
  • Research and verify Sales and Use tax rates for district offices
  • Prepare journal entries and hand check request
  • Analyze invoicing integrity reports
  • Assist in Audits
  • Assist in set up and posting for the billing module users
  • Assist in A/R collections
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

Job Requirements


  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting-related, billing, office administration, or accounts receivable experience is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and time management
  • Team Player who is not afraid to ask questions
  • Proficient with the Microsoft applications Word and Excel
  • High attention to detail as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive communicator who responds timely to work requests
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated
  • Basic understanding of business systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience ($15.00-$19.23/hour) with weekly pay. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. 
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
