Job Description

The Truck Driver is a CDL Class A driving position that is responsible for driving materials and equipment to project locations. This position requires a valid CDL Class A licensure, as well as the ability to pass a MVR & be insured under Company policy.

Huen Electric also provides design/assist expertise, from the preparation of cost estimates and controls to value engineering and preconstruction planning. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for transporting tools and materials to various project locations
  • Same day, local travel
  • May be required to load or unload truck and/or trailers; may be assisted by a helper
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards

Job Requirements

Principal Skills: 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Class Driver's License
  • Must be able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with air brakes
  • Must have the ability to operate a stake bed with a lift gate
  • Heavy lifting is required

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years of 'over-the-road' driving experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hauling heavy machinery
  • Must be able to pass a MVR
  • Must be able to pass DOT drug test

Preferred Education: 

High school diploma or GED is required

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Salary commensurate with experience with weekly pay $28.00-$30.00/hour. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
