Job Description

Great Southwestern Construction, Inc. is looking for goal-oriented individuals to join our Field Services Team. You will start as a Field Services Groundman, our entry-level position, which will enable you to learn about our company and processes. After our six-month groundsman rotational program, you'll be eligible to grow to the next level as a Field Services Coordinator. We'll provide you the training, mentors, and equipment you'll need to be successful - you'll bring the work ethic and dedication!

As a Field Services Coordinator, you will be working on project sites, enhancing efficiency and customer service through various reporting and tracking processes. You will work side by side assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent with the day-to-day operations of an assigned construction project.

  • Routine quality control and quality assurance
  • Conducting crew visits
  • Monitoring schedules

  • Overseeing the daily work of subcontractors
  • Estimating costs and monitoring expenditure with vendors
  • Evaluating the environmental impact and right-of-way access plans, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance

  • The technical expertise of the FSC will assist the organization in increasing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, managing risk, diagnosing problems, and complying with laws and regulations

Job Requirements



  • No experience is required - training is provided!
  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree


  • Working knowledge of project safety processes
  • Basic understanding of quality control monitoring
  • Ability to complete production reporting
  • Cost reporting and scheduling skills
  • Ability to travel and relocated to projects is essential

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience with weekly pay. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. 
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
