The IT Systems Administrator will focus on supporting Windows Servers for the Company's JDE E1 CNC environment, as well as third-party integrations like Forza Scanman and IntelliChief. The Engineer will work with a VMware ESXi 7 environment. 

Essential Functions:

• The IT Systems Engineer - CNC is responsible for:
• Supporting configurations, maintenance, and monitoring
• Designing to best practices, installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading the environment
• Administration of VMware environments, including configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and support
• Management of Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and networking
• Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues
• Maintains backups with a strong understanding of backup strategies in a virtual environment
• Schedules and performs hardware/software installations, upgrades, backups, and data restoration
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
• Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

Job Requirements

Principal Skills:

• Expert background in supporting a Microsoft Windows server environment, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting
• Forward-looking and the ability to support Windows Servers in Azure
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, Citrix, Networking, Security
• Experience with or the ability to learn applications supporting JDE E1 systems and third-party integration
• Ability to troubleshoot applications running on desktops and their backend servers


• Minimum 3 years of Microsoft Windows Server support is required
• Minimum 2 years of VMware experience is required
• Azure experience is highly desired
• PowerShell and automation experience is a plus 

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field; a combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($63,300-$85,000). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
