Job Description

MYR Group is seeking a Technology Communications Specialist to work collaboratively with our Information Technology Training and Documentation team to assist with the development of company-wide training and communications. Critical skill set includes editing technical documents and instructional videos and recordings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent writing and proofreading skills. A high level of creativity is ideal to help us engage and train a diverse audience.

This is a newly created position, reporting to our IT Training Supervisor. This role will be based out of our new Corporate Office in Thornton, CO. After our training period, we offer a hybrid schedule with two days of work from home and three days in the office per week.

Duties

  • Create training-related tools, content, and resources (SharePoint, Articulate, Microsoft 365, Adobe, video, podcast, or another digital/visual/audio medium) to support Information Technology initiatives and Department.
  • Plan, develop, and execute communications and training deliverables for IT-led initiatives and projects where IT is a primary stakeholder.
  • Consult with internal clients, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to help them achieve documentation and communication goals.
  • Create, design, and format appealing and engaging written and visual content using graphic software applications.
  • Create and maintain content on intranet pages to provide IT communication and training updates.
  • Write, edit, and design written materials such as instructional guides, policies, email announcements, and newsletters. Evaluate and proofread assignments to correct errors and grammar before submission.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years’ demonstrated training, communications, or marketing experience is required.

  • Preferred knowledge of SharePoint, Adobe Premiere Pro and Articulate Storyline or equivalent

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience ($46,300-$62,300) with weekly pay. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. 
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
