Overview:
Since 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc, has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider.
Sturgeon Electric’s power line, or Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full range of capabilities related to transmission, distribution, and substation construction.
The Logistics Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing tool/PPE inventory and supervising toolroom staff with scheduling and coordinating tool & equipment deliveries to job sites in the NW. The Toolroom team is a direct support branch to field operations in regard to tooling, PPE, deliveries and equipment needed for T&D projects.
Duties:
• Manage inventory of tools and PPE
• Schedule and coordinate with project team leads on tooling requests and scheduling of deliveries to meet project needs
• Oversee repair of tooling and testing of various overhead line supplies and equipment
• Small engine repair such as generators
• Provide management with regular updates on scheduling and overall project status
• Responsible for tool inspection and inventory
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
• Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable
Principal Skills:
• Self-driven, timely and organized
• Ability to quickly gain trust and respect for the purpose of establishing and maintaining relationships with field employees
• Intermediate computer skills and working knowledge or Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organizational skills with a systemic approach
• Ability to travel occasionally to various locations in the NW
• Team-oriented and a self-starter
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage staff & peers while holding them accountable
Qualifications:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
• 1-3 years of experience with T&D line tools preferred
• Experience with tool/material tracking databases
Preferred Education:
• High school diploma or GED required
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Overtime potential up to 10 hours per week.
