Position Overview

MYR Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to work collaboratively with our marketing, business, and operations teams to manage RFP/RFI submittals and lead key marketing initiatives for our subsidiary companies across the United States and western Canada. 

The Marketing Manager will oversee the marketing/proposal team in the development of high quality, professional pre-qualification submittals, proposals, presentations, collateral, and implementation of business development and marketing strategies. The right candidate will leverage their understanding of marketing, our industry, and expertise to make a positive impact and enhance our corporate brand.

This position reports to the Marketing Director and is located at our Thornton, CO office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing/proposal team to execute business development and marketing strategies and outreach efforts consistent with the corporate strategy and branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Provide directions and oversight of successful proposal, RFP, and RFI submissions, client interview preparation, and development of marketing collateral.
  • Manage and serve as an integral member of RFP pursuit teams, leading all aspects of the development, organization, review, and submittal of compelling proposals
  • Play a key leadership role in driving superior proposals by identifying winning strategies, leading proposal meetings, interviewing subject matter experts, writing high-impact content, ensuring RFP compliance, managing the pursuit schedule, collaborating with outside partners, and conducting extensive proofreading/editing processes

Job Requirements


  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience
  • Knowledge of the A/E/C industry and understanding of the RFP and proposal development processes is required
  • Previous management experience is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications preferred
  • Strong editing, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe InDesign, and CRM software is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and active listening skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while meeting tight deadlines and managing a complex workload. 
  • Able to successfully complete required background and drug screens

Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($90,000-$110,000). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
